This program has been designed to provide students with a thorough understanding of health economics and policy development and implementation. There is no requirement for any prior training or knowledge in economics. Students are expected to learn advanced skills in critical analyses, understanding of global health policies, and micro-economic and macro-economic factors that influence health policies. This intense program provides students with exposure to complex economic challenges faced by health organizations globally. Students who complete this course find opportunities in a wide variety of organizations including health agencies, international health organizations, NGOs, academia and governmental agencies involved in health delivery and promotion. Our alumni also have demonstrated accelerated advancement in their careers due they demonstrating advanced knowledge and skills in economics related to healthcare.

Complete Specialization in Health Economics and Policy – Receive MPH with Specialization in Health Economics and Policy Degree
Upon completion of all credit requirements for the award of the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, you will initiate a specialization in Health Economics and Policy. The duration of this specialization is usually 36 weeks. After completing the specialization, you will receive the MPH with Specialization in Health Economics and Policy Degree.

This dual degree program has been developed for health professionals or graduates with experience in any area of public health who aspire to grow to senior leadership and management roles in the field of public health. The degree is set mainly within the framework of the public and national government health services, while also being applicable for managers of Not-for-profit organizations, international health agencies, and private healthcare set-ups.
In addition to focusing on the core public health sector, this specialized master’s degree in Health Economics & Policy will enable students to use statistics and other methods to solve public health issues; understand the burden of disease; measure and calculate health outcomes; and evaluate the analytical methods and techniques in areas of health services research and health policy.

In the dual degree program, you will complete an additional 48 ECTS Credits through online learning at International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, Rome, Italy (Università Telematica Internazionale UniNettuno ‘UTIU’). You will receive two degrees as follows:
You can either chose to complete these 48 ECTS Credits during or after the completion of the Master of Public Health (MPH) program. This is a very unique opportunity to earn a Master’s degree in Public Health via the Master of Science in Public Health Management Program at UTIU. The program has been thoughtfully structured in order to provide the required knowledge and skills to new aspirants, current Public Health professionals, and those working or aspiring to work within the health sector.
