Sexual and Reproductive Health is an integral component of Public Health. The challenges faced globally in this key area of Public Health are enormous. There is a significant burden on societies, governments, and other bodies to overcome the challenges related to sexual and reproductive health, especially in the areas of HIV, sexually transmitted diseases, unintended pregnancies, infertility, abuse of children and women, and several other such important aspects of this area of public health. The origin of many sexual and reproductive health issues are psychosocial in nature and both treatment and prevention depend on the best understanding of these issues.
This program has been developed with the help of experts in the area of sexual and reproductive health. The curriculum is developed in a way so as to give every student a thorough exposure to the challenges faced in this area of public health and the knowledge and skills needed to overcome these challenges in the global context.
After completing this program, the student must demonstrate superior knowledge and understanding of the challenges that exist in sexual and reproductive health, the psychosocial factors leading to these challenges, and skills to deploy preventive and active management strategies for overcoming these challenges. The student also learns how to work in small and big teams, counsel patients and caregivers, perform fieldwork, critically analyze existing literature, derive research hypothesis, lead projects and write detailed reports.

Complete Specialization in Sexual and Reproductive Health – Receive MPH with Specialization in Sexual and Reproductive Health Degree
Upon completion of all credit requirements for the award of the Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, you will initiate a specialization in Sexual and Reproductive Health. The duration of this specialization is usually 36 weeks. After completing the specialization, you will receive the MPH with Specialization in Sexual and Reproductive Health Degree.

This dual degree program has been developed for health professionals or graduates with experience in any area of public health who aspire to grow to senior leadership and management roles in the field of public health. The degree is set mainly within the framework of the public and national government health services, while also being applicable for managers of Not-for-profit organizations, international health agencies, and private healthcare set-ups. In addition to focusing on the core public health sector, this specialized masters degree in sexual and reproductive health will update you on the scope and significance of health issues for women concerning their sexual and reproductive health, with a focus across the life span, and including infectious, chronic and disabling disorders.
The program takes a broad approach to sexual and reproductive health while addressing issues related to contraception, family planning, assisted reproductive technologies, and various related public health emergencies and bio-surveillance. Upon completion of this dual degree program, students will be able to develop and implement public health programs and clinical interventions to enhance female reproductive health and well being, including programs pertaining to family planning services, safe motherhood, or health during the reproductive years.

If public health is your focus area and if you enjoy working in a challenging work environment with a varied workload then sexual and reproductive health could be the specialty for you. You will most likely work as a part of a multidisciplinary sexual health services team. You could be working alongside health advisers, nurses, youth workers and so on. Good communication skills and an open-minded approach to clients are a must. The ability to empathize with clients from various backgrounds is also important.

In the dual degree program, you will complete an additional 48 ECTS Credits through online learning at International Telematic University UNINETTUNO, Rome, Italy (Università Telematica Internazionale UniNettuno ‘UTIU’). You will receive two degrees as follows:
You can either chose to complete these 48 ECTS Credits during or after the completion of the Master of Public Health (MPH) program. This is a very unique opportunity to earn a Master’s degree in Public Health via the Master of Science in Public Health Management Program at UTIU.
