The JLI MPH in Tropical Medicine program has been developed for current healthcare professionals and students who aspire to make a career in this important discipline of medicine. The program is directed towards the skill-building and practice of tropical medicine and community healthcare delivery. This program also provides opportunities for engaging in research through focused projects in the field. There is an emphasis on tropical diseases, infections, surveillance and informatics in healthcare.
JLI has consulted experts in public health and tropical medicine while developing this program and most of the faculty have significant experience in this domain. Not only is there a focus on developing fundamental concepts in tropical medicine, but also exposure to more sophisticated areas of learning such as an interdisciplinary approach to solving challenges related to infectious diseases, implementation of evidence-based recommendations for infectious and non-infectious diseases, immunization policy and practice, and several other key areas of knowledge and skills needed by professionals who practice tropical medicine.
This program is also an excellent choice for physicians, nurses, allied healthcare workers and medical students who have an interest in tropical health.
