Introduction to the Event
Effective manuscript writing is crucial for researchers, scholars, and scientists who wish to communicate their findings, contribute to their academic fields, and advance their careers. The quality of a manuscript can directly impacts how research is perceived, how it contributes to the scientific community, and whether it gets published.
Therefore, this LIVE event focused on effective manuscript writing which is fundamental for the success of any research endeavor. It ensured that our student’s work is communicated clearly, accurately, and persuasively, increasing the likelihood of publication, citation, and recognition. More importantly, it enabled them to contribute meaningfully to the field and to the broader academic and scientific community.
Event Objectives:
- To provide comprehensive guidance on the process of writing a scientific manuscript (from concept to submission).
- To equip attendees with practical strategies for presenting research results clearly and effectively.
- To clarify best practices for handling revisions and responding to peer review feedback.
- To enhance the understanding of journal selection and publication ethics.

The target audience for this session included early researchers, policymakers, practitioners in the healthcare industry, public health experts, and students from research background.

Jong-Min, PhD (Statistics), Professor of Statistics at University of Minnesota-Morris, USA and Measurement Journal Editor in Chief: Interdisciplinary Research and Perspectives
After the formal welcoming of the participants, guests, and attendees of the conference, the moderator of the event, Dr. Anahita Ali, she emphasized on the event’s significance. The guest speaker then took over the session and started discussing the first step to manuscript writing which is ‘choosing a topic’. He emphasized that the topic should not be too broad and should be interesting and researcher able. Later following the next steps of manuscript writing, he also discussed the role of artificial intelligence in topic generation and idea exploration. Importantly, he said that the use of artificial intelligence should be limited and students should not completely reply on using such platforms to write their manuscript. Once the first draft is created, the students must follow fact checking and avoid plagiarism. Original research must be conducted to maintain the quality of the manuscript and increase the chances of acceptance by reputed Journals. Finally, he motivated the students by saying that ‘hardwork is the key to success’.
