Worked previously at the Sri Lanka College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (SLCOG) from 2017 March-September as the chief coordinator at the college and Golden Jubilee Congress coordinator.

Currently working as a Medical Advisor in (Ophthalmology, Retina, Immunology and Dermatology) for A Baur & Co Pvt Ltd market expansion services for Novartis since 2017 October.

How will you describe yourself as a person?

To work in a patient oriented environment where I can apply the knowledge and skills that I have acquired from my undergraduate, masters and APGDPM degrees with the right attitude. Thereby contribute to the continuous growth of evidence based medicine and thus aid in the advancement of patient care and services with new research materials. I possess good people skills and will be able to contribute in the best interest of patients. A goal oriented, task oriented, empathetic and hard working individual. An ambivert and moderately social individual. Always striving to better than before as a person and to live in the moment. Follow ethical, legal principles and respect own and others virtues and values.

What are your career Interests?

To work a significant time in research and development for either a CRO or a MNC organization, or pharmaceutical organization. To also work as a cardiothoracic surgeon (paediatric) both locally and globally. To work with WHO , UN and to work across the globe with the program doctors beyond borders. Also, to play a part as a health administrator to help both the public and private health setup locally.

Why did you choose JLI for your online learning?

JLI was well accredited, it has global outreach to many nations and the had many interesting programs for students. It seemed to be a very research oriented institute which is an area that I personally am interested in (R & D). Additionally, JLI was easy to coordinate and very student friendly with financial matters as well. The program curriculum was well balanced and convenient for working people. The content was of required standard as well. JLI also has many pharmaceutical alumni which was also convenient. Furthermore, JLI seemed to facilitate work with CRO’s and research based prospects.

If you have gone through some study material, how has your experience been so far?

It has been very useful, effective and practical as well. There were many areas which were new and very informative. A learning curve and especially useful for developing in research and regulatory areas.

What sort of career do you envisage after completing your program from JLI?

Want to engage in research and development and correlate it to clinical practice. To involve in regulatory work and work closely with organizations who are patient oriented when it comes to researching medicines that are catering to all patients globally. To be a part of a research team in either a CRO or pharmaceutical organization.

What is your take on your Programme curriculum?

The curriculum was very comprehensive, precise and very informative and well organized. There were many areas that I personally wanted to learn about which was very useful. The modules were adequate and suffice.
